Where We Cover
Each of these has its own page, because plumbing in a 1918 oil boom town is genuinely not the same job as plumbing in a lakeside subdivision.

The Big Divide
Inside Wichita Falls almost everything is on city water and city sewer. Once you get out to the smaller towns, and particularly to properties outside their limits, that stops being true, and it changes the work entirely.
Tell Us This
If you have a pressure tank in a shed or utility room, you are on a well. It changes the diagnosis for almost every pressure complaint.
If there is a tank lid or a drain field in the yard, it is septic. A backup on septic is a different problem from a backup on a sewer lateral.
This decides who permits the work. Plenty of addresses with a town name are actually outside its limits.
What the Whole Area Shares
The differences between these towns matter, but some conditions apply across all of North Texas and are worth knowing wherever you are.
North Texas gets sharp cold snaps rather than a long winter, so homes across the region carry less pipe insulation than colder states. Hose bibs and pipe in exterior walls fail first, and the calls come when it thaws rather than during the freeze.
The soil shrinks through a dry summer and swells when the rain returns. That cycle stresses buried pipe and slab joints everywhere in the area, and new leaks often appear shortly after a long dry spell breaks.
Wichita Falls city supply carries a heavy mineral load, and the smaller towns drawing from the same regional sources are similar. It shortens water heater life and scales fixtures throughout the region.
Much of this area was built out during oil booms, so several towns have concentrations of pre 1950 housing with galvanized supply and cast iron drain lines that are well past their service life.
Questions
Sometimes. Some companies add a trip charge beyond a certain radius and some absorb it within their normal area. It is worth asking directly when you get the quote, because on a small repair the travel time can be a meaningful share of the total. Ask specifically whether the call out fee is different for your town, rather than assuming the advertised rate applies everywhere.
Yes, but it is genuinely different work and worth flagging when you call. Properties outside town limits are frequently on a private well and a septic system rather than city water and sewer. That changes the likely cause of most symptoms, it changes who regulates the work, and it changes which plumbers are equipped to help. Not every plumber works on wells or septic systems.
Inside city limits, the city building department. Outside, it depends on the county, and septic work specifically is permitted either through the county acting as a TCEQ authorised agent or through a TCEQ regional office. Your licensed plumber handles the paperwork either way, but it affects timelines, so ask about it early if you are working to a deadline.
The towns listed on this page are the regular coverage area, which works out to roughly a thirty mile radius of Wichita Falls spanning Wichita, Archer, Clay and Wilbarger counties. If you are further out than that, send the request anyway with your zip code. We would rather tell you honestly that nobody covers your address than have you wait on a callback that is not coming.
Generally yes, and that is simply drive time rather than priority. Iowa Park and Burkburnett are around ten to fifteen miles out, Henrietta about twenty and Electra closer to thirty. For an emergency that difference matters, which is why it is worth knowing where your main shutoff is before you need it. Whoever takes your call should give you a realistic arrival window rather than a vague promise.
